description In conjunction with Diane Turnshek, physics instructor at Carnegie Mellon University, I developed a website to promote cooperation and information-sharing within the local Pittsburgh Astronomy Community. our pittsburgh constellation is an initiative to document the astronomical points-of-interest in the PGH and western Pennsylvania area. This involved creating and skinning a custom Google Map and populating it with content using a fusion table. Further, the website functioned as a contest entry portal for the constellation contest (users submit custom constellation designs based on the points-of-interest indicated on the map). A calendar of local events (kept up to date by Diane's team) is also available on the website.
