description I worked with Carnegie Mellon physics professor Diane Turnshek to design a Martian colony for the international Mars City Design contest. Over the course of 2017, I produced a series of illustrations, documents, videos, and posters containing a comprehensive plan for the Chromatopolis, a partially buried structure to be built in the Utopia Planitia region of Mars's northern hemisphere. Upon making it to the final round of competition, I was invited to Los Angeles, where I accepted the award for second place worldwide in the Architecture category on behalf of my team. see full colony plan (58 MB)
